Me and My Buddies

Hi all! Here I am at a local dog park. It's not my favorite park, as it is a bit like a cat's litter box, but I have lots of friends there, both doggie and human, so it's fun to visit!

ME!

This is Indy. He's a giant schnauzer.
This is Indy with his older brother, Skybo.
Skybo was sick, but is now doing so much better, which makes me VERY happy!
Lots of Giant Schnauzer teethies!
One of my BFFs, Grace.
Me and Grace vying for My-Ryan's attention.
Gracie likes to fetch!
Me looking pensive.
Oh, look, it's Gaspar! He was one of my first boyfriends and I still love him so!
Handsome Gaspar
That's about it to report for today! Hope you enjoyed the photos!

MIA

Sorry I've been missing in action! Mom and I were staying with one of my bff's, Gracie the black lab, while her humans were out of town.

We did a lot of cuddling:

Got lots of yummy treats:

 Watched the world go by:

 Played:

And generally enjoyed each other's company!

Mom took nice pictures of us outside with her fancy camera, but I decided to just post these to tide you over until she gets around to posting the others.

XO,
Lu (and Gracie)

The Jig is Up!

Mom bought me a new bed a few weeks ago.
I didn't want her to know that I like it.
Why?
Because I don't want her to get any funny ideas about kicking me out of the human bed.
She had yet to see me voluntarily sitting in it.
Until today...
Whoops, busted!
I was too comfy to avoid detection.
Oh well.
I guess the jig is up.

Lu

Snuffly Germies Be Gone!

Mom's been home snifflin and sneezin and coughin for the last few days. I was a good little nursey and didn't ask for too much and gave her lots of cuddles. I know she felt badly about skimping on my walks, so today I was extra appreciative that she took me out for a stroll even though she still was feeling crummy. Not the longest walk, but a nice walk to the park!

Here is some hot off the presses photos!
It's beautiful outside, and luckily the weather is supposed to stay like this. So, get lost cold snuffly germs! Mom and I have some serious playing to do this weekend!

To answer a few questions we got the last couple of days on previous posts:
That neato green bench seen here and here is in the Hayes Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. Mom often takes me and Dorrie down that way on our walks.

That toy seen here was a gift from my mom for my fifth birthday this past year! It is lots of fun to pull the stuffs out from the center and then mom has to put it all back in and we do it all over again!

Apparently, it's called Kyjen Plush Puppies IQube Cagey Cube Dog Toy

It seems to be sold out everywhere I looked to link to. Sowwies! Maybe you'll have better luck?!

Taxes and Painting = NO FUN FOR ME!

Mom has been busy all day with painting a room a new color and filing her tax thingies. UGH. I've had to entertain myself ALL DAY. Hopefully tomorrow will be more fun...hint, hint, nudge, nudge, Mom!

Here's hoping your day was more entertaining!

Thunder(shirt) and Lightening, Very Very Frightening

Sorry I've been missing in action the last few days. Mom and I have been housesitting for two very nice doggies, Max and Reilly, while their humans are away.
I was extra barky at the temporary house, and was driving mom (and unfortunately, probably the neighbors) batty. Mom did some sleuthing on the interwebs and found something called the Thundershirt:

It's made for anxious doggies, like me! "That lab looks pretty relaxed," mom thought. "Let's give it a try!"

Off to the local pet shop we went. Luckily, they had my size in stock!

It's a good thing we bought it when we did because last night there was a super duper huge storm with THUNDER AND LIGHTENING!

I had never heard or seen these things so clearly, as it is VERY rare for San Francisco to have these types of storms. I was so very nervous. I was quaking like a wimp. Mom slipped the shirt on me, and it felt like a big hug. It didn't stop my anxiety completely, but I think it helped. It also helped when I climbed into My-Ryan's lap for comfort and he held me.

As for the "problem" barking...that's still a work in progress. :)

Family Time

Hi Bloggy Friends,
Happiness
I hope you had a good Passover and/or a Happy Easter! I got to spend time with my family on Sunday, which was R-A-D! I love my furry cousin, Clancy. He's a Welsh Springer Spaniel; we aren't related by blood, since we're both adopted, but the familial goofiness is solid! I also got to hang out with some of my favorite peoples, including my human cousin (once removed?), my human Grand Aunt, Mom and My-Ryan. Good times! We ALL piled in the car machine and took a field trip to a local doggy park. I ran some, but my leg still isn't quite right, humph. Besides that it was super duper fun and I hope to do it again soon!

Here are some pics:

Flashback Friday Foto

Since I waited until I was 5 to start this blog, I figured that every once in a while I would have a Flashback Friday and show you some oldie but goodie photos of, well, ME, of course! And maybe some of my pals, too.

Without further ado, here's the first Flashback Friday Foto:

That's me at Crissy Field overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge. This is one of my very favorite places!

What's one of your favorite places?

My First Hop

I forgot to mention yesterday that I am so very excited to be part of my very first blog hop. I asked mom if I literally get to hop around and see other blogging aminals. She told me that I don't get to see them in person, only on the screen, but that I was welcome to hop away. So, this blog hop thing isn't as exciting as in-person greetings, but it's still pretty exciting, nonetheless.

Below are the folks participating...I plan on visiting as many of the bloggies as possible! Hopefully, I won't break the computer screen with my hopping excitement!

Crazy Pooches and Game Answers

I saw these crazy looking creatures in the park today. Were they a pigmy giraffe and zebra pair? NOSIREE! They were just dyed Chihuahuas! Crazy pants, but neato! Their mister was a man of few words, but did say he used a non-toxic hair dye special for the aminals! I don't know if I would be into being dyed. Luckily, those gels probably wouldn't work on my black fur, so I don't have to worry about Mom getting any funny ideas! Would you let your human dye you?

*  *  *

Thanks to those who played along with our game yesterday. I think it's officially a tie between The Furies of Whisppy and The Thuglets! Well done, guys! You get official bragging rights. Very official, right?! However, it was a very close call and all answers were great and we enjoyed reading them!

Here are the answers:
  1. Kitty on the path (It's not real...hee hee...which is good, cuz all those other doggies might have chased it!)
  2. Lady with bag disappeared (and as The Thuglets pointed out, a post is missing, too! Don't worry, the lady wasn't hurt in the process.)
  3. My leash went bye-bye (if only!)
  4. I'm sticking my tongue out! (It's not my real tongue, just a drawring. I would never stick my tongue out at you, bloggy friends!)
  5. There is a bunny in the grass (Not real, again! Mom was having fun with photo editing.)
  6. THIS WAS A BONUS ONE: My collar is a different color (It's way subtle, so don't be sad if you didn't see it!)

Should we do that again sometime soon?

Hope you are having a great week so far!

Meet Ryder

Almost two weeks ago (before Fenris came to visit), I set out on an urban adventure with my mom and My-Ryan.  We took the bus across town to my friend Ryder's house. Ryder is a young and rambunctious Viszla. We have lots of fun playing together. Ryder's mom, Ms. S., and my mom used to be flatmates eons ago and they have a super close friendship and love each other. So, it's an added bonus for our mommies that Ryder and I dig each other, too! Ryder's younger brother, Lil C., is my favorite little human friend! We used to all go to the park every Friday, but then Ryder's mom, Ms. S., started getting full with a baby. Soon Baby M. arrived on the scene. We haven't been to the park since Baby M. arrived, but we played in Ryder's back yard. How cool is that?!

Mom took sooooo many photos. Here are a few, er, a lot.

On the bus! Such an urban doggie!
This is Ryder. He's my buddy!
Ryder's Mom (Ms. S.) and brother (Lil C.) picking weeds!
They are my buddies, too!
My-Ryan holding Ryder's human sister, Baby M.
I just met her, but I bet she'll be my buddy, as well!

Is it time to go inside?!
Time to wrestle on top of My-Ryan!
Wrastlin!
Tag, you're it!
Oh, Ryder and Ms. S.! Yer silly!
